CAS Student Conference at the Annual Meeting – Austin, TX

The Casualty Actuarial Society is excited to host a free one-day Student Conference during the 2025 Annual Meeting in Austin, TX! This event is designed for university students interested in pursuing an actuarial career.

- Attend Professional Concurrent Sessions and Student-Specific Sessions
- Take Professional Headshots
Registration is open to members of CAS Student Central. Students not yet members can easily sign up online, and then register to attend the event. There is no cost to attend, but participants are responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses (if applicable).

As a new addition to the programming, we are excited to host an optional student case competition focused on Reinsurance. This is an intermediate-level case that assumes familiarity with basic P&C insurance concepts. Students can sign up on an individual and be placed in teams or can sign up with classmates as a team. Students that do not wish to participate in the case competition will have the option to either watch the presentations during the student conference or attend a concurrent session.
The case will be introduced in the weeks leading up to the student conference, with final presentations taking place during the event. Participants will have the chance to compete for a cash prize and present their work to CAS Leadership and practicing actuaries. Please note the space for this is limited and interested students should sign up no later than October 10.
