Meet the Presenters
Mallika Bender, FCAS
Mallika Bender, FCAS, is the Staff Actuary of Strategic Community Outreach at the CAS, where she leads several key initiatives to support actuaries and actuarial candidates throughout their journey.
Mallika held previous actuarial roles at GEICO in Washington, DC, Suncorp Insurance in Sydney, Australia, and QBE Insurance and Willis Towers Watson in Philadelphia. Mallika joined the CAS as a staff member in June 2020 and enjoys bringing lessons learned from her actuarial career, volunteering, and international experiences into her work.
Ken Williams, FCAS, MAAA
Ken is a Staff Actuary of the CAS. In his work with the CAS, Ken is a frequent author and presenter on a variety of actuarial subjects.
Prior to joining the CAS, Ken spent 26 years working in the insurance industry in a variety of actuarial practice areas, including pricing, loss reserve analysis, budgeting, and enterprise risk management.
Ken was a lecturer in the Mathematics department at Illinois State University for over 20 years. He holds a B.S. in Actuarial Science from Purdue University and is both a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS), and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
