The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) recently won an award in the Association TRENDS’ 2014 All-Media Contest for our infographic promoting the CAS Student Central program. This infographic features graphics and statistics designed to show you, the future CAS member, all of the benefits in pursuing a career as a property and casualty actuary. Did you know, for example, that in the U.S., college graduates on the casualty actuarial track start out earning significantly more than the average college graduate? The infographic was awarded in the category of Direct Marketing Piece/Promotion and was one of nearly 410 entries in the association publications contest.
As you may know, CAS Student Central was launched this past January to serve the growing number of students pursuing careers as property and casualty actuaries. Thanks to students like you, the program has seen enormous success in its first year. We currently have 1,300 student members from nearly 300 universities! If you know someone considering an actuarial career, share this infographic with them. You can also request a hard copy from the CAS office.
The creation of CAS Student Central truly exemplifies our deep commitment to fostering the next generation of casualty actuarial professionals. The CAS has resolved to mentor and guide students like you through the maze of curricula, rigorous exams, and promising internships that ultimately lead to a challenging and rewarding career as a property and casualty actuary.
